Release in preparation
We’re preparing the first public release. A verified download link will appear here when it is available. No release date is announced yet.
Where Butter is headed
Mac, iPhone, and iPad are the main release targets. The Apple TV paired-streaming companion and the windowed Apple Vision Pro edition still need further validation before release.
The Mac edition requires an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later. iPhone and iPad require iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later. The Apple TV target requires tvOS 18 or later; the windowed Apple Vision Pro target requires visionOS 2 or later. The latter two remain under qualification.
